Yep, that’s me; your new fitness bestie. I’m here to help you infuse your own dream lifestyle into your fitness and wellness goals, and give you the concrete tools to build up your own little house of self-love.
How would you feel if I told you that talent and success are NOT the same thing?
I know we like to believe that they are, but you may be surprised to hear that there is a lot of talented people that won’t ever succeed in what they do. Zip. Nada. Zilch.
…because even though they are insanely skilled, passionate and educated, they don’t put in the WORK. And those newbies? The hustlin’ ladies who just broke into the game at whatever they’re doing? They’re hungry. They have a fresh outlook and perspective on things and their newly sharpened skills to back it up. They may not have been doing this for as long as… say, YOU have! But they aren’t burnt out yet, and they’re ready to work.
Have you been relying on your talent to lead you to success? Let’s explore that together!
It’s been proven: you still have to WORK to sharpen the skills, talent and unique gifts you were born with, and hone in on the ones you work hard to possess. If you are allowing yourself to think differently, then you are simply letting yourself off the hook. Listen up, ladies: it’s way easier to think someone just “got lucky” with talent, gifts and skills, and that those attributes are why they are successful! It’s easier to think this way than it is to deal with what is stopping us from putting in the WORK to be successful too! Which is our own outlook.
Any time we start something new, it feels easy at first. We feel excited and pumped up and this new energy pushes us to get really amazing at whatever it is. Your new workouts feel SO fun at first! A new recipe always tastes delicious the first few times. Your first fitness coaching client gets the STAR treatment, of course! But once you become a pro — at anything in life! — we begin to coast. We get tired. We don’t put in nearly as much of the work as we once did in the beginning.
Skills can be learned. You will improve with practice. It is ok not to know everything. The answers WILL come! But at the end of the day, it all comes down to YOU! How bad do you want it? How much are you willing to work for it? Are you willing to sacrifice what you want now for what you want most? How many times will you stand back up after falling? How long will you fight for it?
You and only your beautiful self can answer these questions. You and only you can make that pinky promise to yourself. A little tip? Don’t rely on motivation purely, because that is a feeling that comes and goes. When I first realized this, a figurative lightbulb went off in my brain! Put in a small (or big, if you can) effort every day, consistently… and I know that success will find you.
I’ll speak for myself now. I’m putting in the work, friends! I’ve made the commitment. BIG things are in the works for mine and my little girl’s future. You can either join me in this movement (and I hope you will! <3) or watch from the sidelines (which is OK too) because I am going straight to the top of my goals!
